University Introduction:

The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine is a coeducational institution. The university is accredited by the Accreditation Commission of Colleges of Medicine. The university is recognized by international bodies such as the General Medical Council, World Health Organization, United States Department of Education, Medical Council of India, National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA), Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education Research (FAIMER) and World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).


The university has multiple faculties named Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Behavioral Medicine, Faculty of Pathology, Faculty of Pediatrics, Faculty of Pharmacology, Faculty of Physiology, Faculty of Molecular, Faculty of Family Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, and many more. The university has multiple campuses situated in different places. University has graduated more than 7500 medical students so far and currently; 340 residents are attending the university campus. 

Campus Life

The university is well known for its research laboratories, Academic Clubs, organization link-ups, and conferences. The university also has a world-class E-library system that offers exceptional resources for medical education, journals, E-books, dedicated study rooms in the library, dormitories, and university campus. In addition to this, the university offers touch net billing and payment system, E-Value portals, Scholarships and financial aids, Sports center, recreational center, USMLE interface, and many more services to students


The university offers on-campus accommodation to international students. The rooms are available as single rooms and a double bedroom. The university has a separate hostel for girls and boys. Hostels are fully secured with a CCTV system; the cameras are installed inside and nearby areas of all the hostels. The university does not offer room to married students and students with children. They are advised to check for an offsite lodging facility.
