Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice is a coeducational institution. The university is recognized by World Health Organization, Medical Council of India, The European University Association – EUA, Slovak French university institute, The British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic, The American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia, and other international bodies. The university is managed by the Jesus’ Community Jesuits. Initially, the university used to deliver the lectures in Latin but now it offers courses in English also.
The Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice has five faculties named Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Arts, and Faculty of Public Administration. Currently, the university has 7500 students and more than 799 highly skilled faculty members.
