University Introduction:
Alexander American University uses English as its medium of study. The medical program entails 1 year of pre-medical science, 2 years of pre-clinical science, and 2 years of clinical science. The students then get 72-82 weeks of clinical rotations. It is divided into 48 weeks of core rotation, and 24-32 weeks of elective rotations.
The premedical program constitutes of classes in Biology, Organic chemistry, General Chemistry, English, Physics, and Calculus. This is carried out by the students in their first year. The pre-clinical science program implements real life problems that a doctor is bound to encounter in the field. The core subjects are Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, and Behavioral Science.
Lastly is the clinical science program. This program prepares students entry into the medical world. It is at the end of this program that students get to determine their specialties. The students are taught how to analyze data, diagnose, conduct physicals, and to process blood work.
