China Medical University is located in Shenyang, Liaoning province. It was established in October 1931. It got approval from The Central Millitary Commission. China Medical University was the first medical institution that was formed by the Chineese Communist Party. It was also one of the first schools that taught about Western medicine in the region. Before the university was called the Military Medical School of the Chineese workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army. The school changed its name in 1940. This was after Mao Zedong made a proposal that was accepted by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

China Medical University is one of the renowned medical institutions in China.
