The main university is located along the Lusaka-Kasama road. It consists of other campuses that include Foxdale campus along Zambezi road, TICK campus along Kasama road and Mutandwa campus along Mutandwa road, all located in Lusaka. It was incorporated in 2008 with the aim of providing competent, and skilled medical healthcare personnel.

Campus Life:
One of the clubs in the university is the debate club. The first books in the university library were donated by the World Health Organization. The library was initially established in a classroom. The Chalala library was later opened in 2016. Currently the university has 5 libraries each at its 5 campuses. This includes the Chalala main library, pharmacy nutrition and dietetics library, medicine and surgery campus library, health sciences library and radiography library. The libraries offer reference services, lending services and internet services.
