Makerere University is a higher education institution for medical education. The university is located in Kampala, Uganda. The university has nine colleges and one high school. It is one of the oldest universities in Uganda. The university was initially established as a higher education. Later on in 1970, it becomes an independent national university.

Makerere University is a coeducational institution for medical education. The university is affiliated with Ggaba Seminary, Alokolum Seminary, Alokolum Seminary, Katigondo Seminary, Mulago Paramedical Schools, Kampala University, and Kinyamasika Seminary. The university is also recognized by the World Higher Education Database (WHED), Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, Medical Council of India, and the World Health Organization.

The rooms are available on two to three sharing bases. All the rooms are well furnished and offer the necessary facilities. All the hostel is located near the main building block of the university.
