North Sichuan Medical University has over 400 members of the faculty holding Master’s or Doctorate degrees. More than 300 have the academic title of professor and associate professor. Also, there are over 50 returned scholars and experts. Around 20 of the professors enjoy special government subsidies or have been given positions of national leadership in their field. North Sichuan Medical University has 24 Affiliated Hospitals and 55 internship and teaching hospitals providing international students opportunities for medical internship and clinical rotation.

Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical University, set up in 1974, as a “National Class A-Grade III Hospital”, now is a provincial medical center combination of medical, teaching, and scientific research. The hospital has about 2,500 beds for patients, 35 clinical disciplines, and 7 medical departments. The hospital is a comprehensive hospital with complete medical departments and remarkable medical skills. The number of daily outpatients visiting the hospital is more than 1.23 million.

Achievements:

Recently, North Sichuan Medical University has undertaken 8 national research projects, 5 projects from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Health, and the State Chinese Medicine Administration, and 238 provincial key and scientific research projects. The university has published 3,500 scientific research papers, and 65 treatises, among which 54 papers have been embodied by SCI and ET. The rate of employment (graduates) is consistently above 95%, the highest among colleges in Sichuan Province. All classrooms of North Sichuan Medical University are equipped with multimedia teaching facilities and it is famous for its Faculty of Medical Imaging, which is one of the first 5 medical imaging faculties in China.

Accommodation:

North Sichuan Medical University provides accommodation facilities in the University International Hostel. On-campus accommodation is mandatory for undergraduates while post-graduates can stay on-campus or off-campus. The university has well-appointed hostels with fully-furnished and air-conditioned rooms arranged for international students. Hostel facilities include beds, television, study tables, internet access, air conditioning, a kitchen, and public laundry. The hostels are protected by security agencies and police booths in the university.

 

Eligibility to study MBBS in China

In China, MBBS is popularly known as General Medicine. Therefore, students seeking to study General Medicine must qualify for admission. The qualifications for studying General Medicine in this Institution include:

2) 50% in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.
