National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University was formed in 1931. At the time it was referred to as Agronomy Pedagogical Institute. In fact, it became a National Research University in 2010. This was spearheaded by the Federal Government. The institution was started to improve the quality of education in Mordovia. Today, the university has had tremendous growth. It has been able to provide quality education to the students of Mordovia with them accounting for 75% of the school.

National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University is a premier university located in Mordovia.
