Saint Georges University of London
The university is a constituent College of the University of London. It was established in 1733. It is located in Tooting, in South London. St Georges became affiliated with the University of London after its establishment in 1836. Saint Georges was the second university after University of Oxford to offer formal training courses for doctors in England. It is also affiliated with St Georges Hospital. It was initially known as St Georges Hospital Medical School and was a part of St Georges Hospital in Central London at Hyde Park Corner.
In 1980, the university together with the hospital were relocated to Tooting in South London. The Faculty of Health and Social Care sciences is a joint faculty with the Kingston University. It has increased allied healthcare courses offered by the school such as Nursing, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Paramedic Science.

University Introduction:
The university was the first in the United Kingdom to offer a four-year graduate entry medicine degree. This was based on a program from Flinders University, a school with which it has an exchange program. The program had its first intake in 2000 with 35 students. Other universities have since emulated Saint Georges University. St Georges Hospital is a major trauma hospital with a bed capacity of 1300.

The institutes and departments in the university include Population Health Research Institute, Molecular and Clinical Sciences research Institute, Infection and Immunity Research Institute, and Faculty of Health Social Care and Education.
Campus Life:
Teaching facilities in the university include a simulation suite that allows students to practice based on real life situations and clinical skill laboratories. The school library has more than 42,000 books and is subscribed to over 10,000 journals. The school’s student union organizes various activities such as the fancy dress discos and Rag week. There are several societies run by students such as the clinical neuro science society, cardiology society and pediatrics society.
