University Introduction:

Stavropol State Medical University, Russia started with the name Voroshilov State Medical Institute. In 1937, it was renamed as Stavropol Medical Institute. The university won gold medal in the category of “100 best higher schools” in a competition “The European Quality”. Stavropol State Medical University is affiliated by the World Health organization and also recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).  

Faculty

Stavropol State Medical University currently has ten faculties- Faculty of General Medicine, Faculty of Pediatrics, Faculty of Dentistry, Somatology, Humanities and biology education, Faculty of preparatory, and many more. In addition to these facilities, the university has 40 other subdivisions. The university has more than 4500 students and 97 doctors of science and 300 candidates for science, 4 honoured scientists, and 47 Honoured Physicians of the Russian Federation.   

Campus Life

The university teachers are more focused on practical acquaintance. That’s the reason, students of medicine get extensive exposure in experimental practice. Third-year students can join the university hospital for the medicinal exercise. The university has seven computer labs with the modern computer setup, and students can enhance their academic skills using library that has more than 500000 books and journals.   

Accommodation

The university has four fully furnished hostel for boys and girls. Every room of the hostel has a shower and kitchen for cooking. Two or three students can live in one room. Each hostel has a separate canteen. All hostels are very secure as time restrictions are imposed on the guests.
