Tashkent Medical Academy Fergana Branch
Tashkent Medical Academy consists of three main branches. They include Urgench Branch, Fergana Branch and Termez Branch. The Tashkent Medical Academy dates back to 1919 when it was opened as a medical faculty of Turkestan state. The Tashkent Medical Academy, Fergana Branch is located in Fergana in Uzbekistan.
It was established on the basis of the medical center at the state university. This was by the resolution of the cabinet ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in June 1998. The school works with the medical schools of Uzbekistan. It also handles various specialties such as medical and pedagogical work, higher medical care, general practitioner, general hygienist epidemiologist, and highly educated nurse. The central research laboratory is the main research unit of the academy. 25 projects are currently in progress.
Out of the 25 projects, 18 are applied, 3 are fundamental, 2 are innovation and 2 are for the youth. The school is recognized by the World Health Organization.

There are 7 specialized scientific councils functioning at the academy. The school has an Information Resource Center. The resource center is equipped with computers, printers, scanners and copiers. The classrooms are also equipped with projectors and computers. There are 8 specialized training laboratories and 60 modern equipment.
The faculty in the university is the Faculty of Medical-prophylactic. It consists of more than 48 faculty members with 8 of them being Doctors of medical sciences.
The school consists of vast buildings and experienced teachers. The Fergana branch consists of clinical departments which include the Tashkent Children’s Hospital and No.2 Children’s Hospital. The school utilizes a fleet of 100 modernized computers during the learning process.
The school creates convenience for its foreign students by providing accommodation facilities. The dormitory consists of three floors. The facilities are separate for female students and male students. There is a separate washroom and toilet in each floor. The floors are equipped with two kitchens, ironing facilities, laundry room, furniture and restrooms.
