The University of Sindh is located in the educational city of Jamshoro. It is a public research university that is informally known as Sindh University. Jamshoro is an administrative center of the university. It is the oldest university in Pakistan. It also shares a bond of membership with the United Kingdom and Association with Commonwealth Universities.

University Introduction:
The University of Sindh is higher education institution for medical education. In 1951, the university campus was relocated to Hyderabad and started its teaching programs. Four law colleges and 74 postgraduates and undergraduates’ colleges are associated with this University. The University has two main campuses and several other campuses. It is affiliated with the Government of Sindh, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. The university has well qualified 700 professional staff members. It follows a semester-based system for examinations. The university also serves a provision of Distance learning programs.

The University offers education in seven faculties such as social sciences, arts, natural sciences, pharmacy, Islamic studies, educations, business, and commerce administration. The university also offers courses like bachelor’s honors, undergraduate bachelors, postgraduate programs, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs. The university also has a provision of evening courses like master’s degree courses in English and e-commerce and multimedia technology courses.

Campus Life
The university campus can accommodate around 1800 students. It has 39 centers, departments, and institutes, 20 teaching blocks housing. The campus has a well-stocked library, a facility for Financial Aids, and Academic Counselling for students. The university campus also has ports facilities include Hyder Bux Jatoi Pavilion and it mainly serves as a provision of indoor games. A sports ground and a tracking ground is constructed especially for athletes. The university has a famous landmark called Central library named after Alama I. I Kazi.

The university has six hostels for boys and two for girls to accommodate students. Rooms are embellished with daily basic needed things like bedding, washrooms chair, table, and cold and hot water supply. Special facilities for women like the Fatima Jinnah Gymnasium are also constructed.
