About Tashkent Medical Academy
- Tashkent Medical Academy was established after the 1st and 2nd Tashkent State Medical Institutes were abolished through the decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I. A. Karimov. This took place in 19th July 2005. The school received status of ‘Higher Education Facility’ through the decision of the State Testing Center.
- The school has 805 faculty members in total. Total number of students in the school is 4662. It contains 205 residency students and 735 postgraduate students. The school is in collaboration with other foreign institutions on matters related to education, research and strengthening partner relations between leading higher education facilities.
- Some of the institutions include Humboldt University in Berlin, Family Medicine Residency Center in USA, Russian State Medical University and Samara State Medical University.
